The 14th “Days of Corporate Security” International Conference – hosted by ICS
Brdo pri Kranju – Congress Center, Slovenia, May 22-23, 2023
The 14th International two-day conference ” Days of Corporate Security 2023″ was successfully completed.
The International Conference is a thematic scientific and professional meeting of all those who face security risk management issues in today’s security environment, with a special focus on corporate and information risks. This conference represents the central scientific and professional event in the region in the field of corporate security and, in particular, information and cyber risks.
The aim of the conference was to present the latest insights and research findings, examples of good practice and examples of successful transfer of knowledge into practice, to enable direct contact between theorists and practitioners, and to accelerate the dissemination and solving of current problems in the field of corporate security.
We had the opportunity to see a huge number of high-profile lectures and very productive round tables, with participants who represented the strategic management and the top level professional public. The sponsors of the conference, through various formats, on both the first and the second day, presented us with the latest technological and process products, which in the future can help in effective risk management in the field of corporate security, with a special emphasis on cyber security and ensuring the resilience of our organizations.
The SUNRISE project was presented by Dejan ŠTEPEC, Ph.D., XLAB, with the invited lecture: Computer vision – Your new co-worker in critical infrastructure (case of SUNRISE project). During the course of the International conference the SUNRISE project was constantly promoted by ICS and SUNRISE Partners present.
A whole series of professional events throughout the conference program once again made it possible to make new professional acquaintances, exchange new experiences and, of course, professional affirmation of individual experts and providers of security solutions. At this conference, special attention was paid to the factors of increasing the resilience of critical infrastructure and providers of essential services. This understanding of ensuring business continuity is a key factor for the proper functioning of the wider social environment.
The increasingly strong media and professional response is definitely encouraged by the “Slovenian Grand Security Award”, which the Institute for Corporate Security Studies awards every year to the best in its categories. The chairman of the organizing committee of the conference, Denis Čaleta, Ph.D. in his opening speech, emphasized “that in the case of the award winners, they are beacons of excellence that all the rest of us will try to follow”.
Once again, we sincerely thank everyone who was part of this great event and we bid you farewell until the next International conference “Corporate Security Days 2024”.
