SUNRISE At the security research event 2023
“Societal transformations, climate change and digitalisation – a new paradigm of Security Research?”

The SUNRISE project delighted to announce that it will be participating in this year’s Security Research Event as an exhibitor on the 24th and 25th October 2023. This event is hosted by the European Commission and supported by the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and Sweden.
As a key date in the security calendar, SRE 2023 will bring together industry, policy-makers, knowledge institutions, and practitioners to discuss the state of play for European Security Research and Innovation and how best to tackle emerging security issues using EU-funded research. Focusing on challenges stemming from global megatrends, which are shifting the ground for security in the EU, the main theme of this year’s event asks: “Societal transformations, climate change and digitalisation – a new paradigm of Security Research?”
SRE 2023 will include Conference and an Exhibition where you will find the SUNRISE project partners exhibit some of the following latest developments from the project including
- Physical tools for risk-based access control and remote-infrastructure inspection
- How SUNRISE plans to respond to the latest EU policy needs
- News from the project’s pilot applications and workshops taking place across Europe with key critical infrastructure organisations from various sectors including water, transport, energy and cybersecurity.
Additionally, the conference will also host Opening Keynote Speeches and an Introductory High-Level Round Table on the future of security research will set the policy context and main themes of the event. The Conference will address the main themes of the event through 5 cross-cutting panels made up of practitioners, policy-makers, researchers and civil society representatives.
