SUNRISE AT THE SECURITY research event 2023

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

The SUNRISE Project attended the Security Research Event in Brussels, Belgium on the 24th and 25th of October.

Hosted by the European Commission at the Square Brussels Convention Centre, the Security Research Event is an annual meeting where industry, policy makers and knowledge institutions come together to discuss the state of play and current challenges for security research in Europe.

SUNRISE was one of 50 specially selected security projects funded by the EU which took part in the event with a dedicated both containing information and materials about the project, which is coming towards the end of its first year.

During the two day event, many in attendance visited the SUNRISE booth to discuss the project’s role in strengthening Europe’s critical infrastructures during pandemics and other major risks. A prototype of the project’s risk-based access control (RiBAC) tool which will help ensure reduced risk for access to critical infrastructure in a scalable and privacy-preserving way was also on display at the booth and drew interest from many attendees.

At the end of the first day, representatives from the SUNRISE Project also had the opportunity to provide demonstrations of the project’s Tool for Resource Demand Prediction and Management as well as the Tool for Increased Cyber Physical Resilience which drew an engaged audience.
