Brief Biography of Partner

The Friuli Venezia Giulia Region is a territorial public authority with autonomous powers and functions. The Region has a special status with unique forms and conditions of legislative, administrative and financial autonomy based on its Statute, the principles of the Italian Constitution, international obligations and European Union laws and national interest.

Among the most significant areas in which the region has concurrent jurisdiction, in accordance with the principles established by state law, are: international relations and with the European Union, with the right to enter into agreements with other states and agreements with other local authorities of another state, foreign trade, environmental protection and safety, education, scientific and technological research and innovation support for productive sectors and the protection of health.

The administrative organization of the Region is divided into Directorates and Services that serve primary organizational needs; they are made up of regional offices to carry out functionally homogeneous and complementary activities to achieve joint programming, promotion and research, orientation and intervention and flexible structures to contingent needs.

Partner’s Role in the SUNRISE project

Within SUNRISE, FVG, as a Public Administration, will contribute to collaboration activities with other critical infrastructure operators particularly within the project’s Italian cluster. They will support the definition of the SUNRISE strategy by validating the project’s implemented technical tools. In addition, they will support the project’s impact generation, communication, dissemination and policymaking activities as well as legal strategic inputs from the public authority perspective.
