Brief Biography of Partner
Hydro Dolomiti Energia (HDE), part of Dolomiti Energia Group, is one of the major Italian hydroelectric energy producers. It is headquartered in Trento and operates 17 large dams and 56 hydropower plants in Trentino, with a total installed power of 1550 MW. The annual energy production of HDE’s plants amounts to around 4 TWh.
Dolomiti Energia Group is one of the main Italian multiutilities. Its business comprises energy products, integrated water services, district heating, environmental services, public lighting and laboratory services. The Group is strongly committed in reducing the environmental impact of its activities while increasing their efficiency, safety and community enhancement.
Partner’s Role in the SUNRISE project
Within SUNRISE, HDE will participate as an experienced critical infrastructure operator of large hydropower dams. They will contribute to the Italian cluster of the project and their expertise will help in defining the engineering requirements and testing of the SUNRISE technical tools and solutions, especially regarding the remote inspection of critical infrastructures.
