SUNRISE Technological Solutions
The SUNRISE project has developed four technological solutions to improve the planning and management of critical infrastructure including transport, energy, water and healthcare. The SUNRISE suite of technological solutions includes:
The Risk-Based Access Control Solution reduces risk in physical access to critical infrastructure – such as hospitals, production facilities, transport hubs and offices – in a scalable and privacy-preserving way. This ensures that the operation of such facilities will not be disrupted by another pandemic or similar event.
The Demand Prediction and Management (DPM) Solution identifies and manages the changing demand of critical infrastructure resources during emergency scenarios such as energy, water and health systems. This ensures that businesses, homes and critical service providers continue to function
The Cyber-Physical Resilience Solution improves critical infrastructure’s security by detecting anomalies, raising alarms when incidents materialise and providing appropriate responses to these incidents, while performing real-time assessment of the critical infrastructure. This solution is equipped with a dashboard that enables decision-making.
The Remote Physical Infrastructure Inspection Solution provides continuous, data-driven physical infrastructure inspection via satellite images, UAVs with different sensors and ML methods for anomaly detection. This solution means that critical infrastructure employees and operators – such as those in railway networks, hydropower plants and water distribution systems – do not need to inspect such locations physically and risk injury, danger or illness.
