SUNRISE Joins the European Cluster for Securing Critical Infrastructures

The SUNRISE project is delighted to have recently joined the European Cluster for Securing Critical Infrastructures (ECSCI). The cluster currently has seven active projects each sharing the aim to protect and strengthen critical infrastructures across Europe. A further 19 projects which have recently ended are also members of the cluster, their findings and results will be imperative for further research.

The main objective of the ECSCI cluster is to create synergies and foster emerging disruptive solutions to security issues via cross-project collaboration and innovation. The cluster’s research activities focus on how to protect critical infrastructures and services, highlighting the different approaches between the clustered projects and establishing tight and productive connections with closely related and complementary Horizon Europe projects.

Collaboration with other projects, standardisation bodies, and policymakers is a key task of the SUNRISE project and of the European Commission and creates unity across research and response to the issues facing citizens today and into the future. Engagement with relevant stakeholders and related initiatives will be crucial to reaching the project’s goal. The SUNRISE partners look forward to collaborating with the ECSCI cluster projects to maximise our shared impact.

The cluster has already produced multiple results including workshops on critical infrastructure protection, joint publications and benchmarks for the standards and regulation of critical infrastructures. You can find the results and relevant contacts from these activities on the ECSCI website here: https://www.finsec-project.eu/ecsci-contacts
